Mental health has a strong impact on the health of your body.
Mindfulness meditation is the practice of training the mind to gain mastery over thoughts and emotions, and to transform our reactions to life. - Gelong Thubten
This practice is both a skill and an experience that can positively impact your overall health and happiness. Scientific research has shown the beneficial effects mindfulness has upon brain activity. Some of the benefits are:
- Decreased symptoms of anxiety, depression or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
- Improved ability to think, concentrate and solve problems.
- Better ability to adapt to and overcome emotional problems
Mindfulness Meditation uses breathing techniques, paying attention to the present moment, as well as developing positive thinking and clarity of mind.
